Citizenship
The objectives of this outcome are set forth to ensure that a student will understand the democratic process and principles under which we live; be a participating and involved member of the community; and be a responsible, globally aware and tolerant citizen.
During the fall of 2017, I volunteered at Cedar Point during Halloweekend. While there for 2 days, I worked in food service to raise money for Hurley Children's Hospital in Flint, Michigan. I went with a group of friends and with my co-ed fraternity members, and we all worked in making food, handling money, and cleaning the food establishments. |
In my first year at Saginaw Valley State University (2016-2017) I joined a pre-medical fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon. To the right is me and two other members working the raffle table at the fourth annual Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Benefit Dinner. As a fraternity, we raise money and 100% of the proceeds go to Hurley Children's Hospital. |
