Teamwork
In the winter of 2018 I was a part of a wonderful group of people that went to Saint Louis, Missouri. I was with 11 other like-minded SVSU students on an Alternative Break trip. While there for a week, we spent our time working with children in poverty, and learning about poverty and racism in America. As a team, we worked together to create fun educational games and to give the children as much one-on-one attention as possible while still teaching them about personal boundaries. |

An extremely important team I have been lucky enough to be a part of is the Univeristy Police and Parking Services at Saginaw Valley State University. If people did not work as a team and there were miscommunications between workers, officers and civilians alike could potentially be put into dangerous situations. |
The summers of 2015, 2016, and 2017, I was on one of the most important teams of my life. I was a lifeguard, and my fellow guards and I had to be able to work together well and expect what the other would do before they did it. If we did not work as a smoothly flowing team, it could very well have been a life or death matter. |
I have been on many sports teams, from softball to volleyball to basketball. However, the team that has been the most like a family for me has been my cross country team. Though we must run against each other and compete against each other, we support and encourage each other through everything. |
